The differences are in the handle thicknesses and knob styles. The thinnest handle, 7/8", is found on the Model 59. Model 41 has a medium 15/16" handle. Model 61 has a thicker 1" handle. Model 71 has a medium flared handle and Model 73 has a medium flared handle with a large knob for better balance (lighter swing feel). ASA Models have the ASA logo engraved on the barrel and the handles on the ASA 41, 59 and 61 are straight to the traditional knobs.

Adult Custom Pro Bats
Maple is the favored wood of most professional players due to its performance and durability. It is a harder and denser wood species than the traditional ash. It outperforms ash by 15-20% and outlasts it 3-1.
Birch is a compromise between the harder stiffer maple and the softer more flexible ash. Players who want more feel than they get with maple but want better performance than ash find birch a good choice.
X Bats offers 30 different adult baseball bat models for every players size and style. These are the finest wood baseball bats money can buy. While the majority of players like maple for it's performance and longevity, many pro players have recently been moving towards birch. We source our birch from the finest birch forests in Eastern Quebec. There are still a minority of players who like the flexibility of ash and are wiling to sacrifice performance and longevity for feel. We source our northern white ash from specific geographic locations in the northern latitudes so our quality is incomparable to the ash available on the market. X Bats offers 14 different youth bat models for every players size and style. These are the finest maple bats money can buy. We have over 300 Major League players swinging X Bats and we are the ONLY company that makes the same grade of wood for all of our customers. Whether you prefer a thin, medium or thick handle, a flared handle, a large knob or no knob, there is a model to suit your game. The Model 6 light and T-Ball are for young players aged 4-6. Youth Super Light Custom Pro
All of X Bats' Youth Bats (except the Model 6 Super Light) are made from our pro quality hard maple. As maple is a very heavy and dense wood, they outlast and outperform any youth bats available today. When we produce our wood billets, we get a very small percentage that are very light. We have developed a new line of Super Light Youth bats (as light as -8) using these super light billets. These are always at a premium since these are used to make big barreled adult baseball bat models but represent less than 10% of the billets we produce.
These Super Light maple bats are not as durable as the regular youth bats and generally won't perform as well since the wood is less dense. There are many younger/smaller players who find it difficult to transition from a -10 or -12 non-wood bat to a -5 wood bat. The Youth Super Light line of bats has been developed just for these players.
